Well I already told you I'm a stay at home mom but it wasn't always that way! I have tried pretty much everything in the 5 years since my girls were born. My husband works a day shift job for his fathers company so his hours have never changed. He has been there for 11 years and will probably take over the company when his father retires. When I had my first daughter I was working full-time as a Medical Biller. We figured out quickly that daycare was very expensive so I decided to stay home with her for the first year. Then I got pregnant again (my oldest was only 9 months old when we found out we were having another!) So with 2 girls I most defiantly needed to go back to work. I decided to go back to work second shift as a server. I did that for 3 years straight and it was hard! I liked being home during the day with my girls but I missed bedtime 6 nights a week. I wasn't home for dinner or baths or the normal bed time routines. I wasn't getting home until 11:30-12:00 so I was missing my husband everyday. We both felt like single parents. So I then decided enough with second shift and I found a great day shift job as a Medical Transcriptionist for a local Doctors office. It was a great job! But working day's meant I needed a full time sitter which we found to be impossible. We couldn't find someone we trusted enough and reliable enough to be with our children full-time. We also couldn't afford licensed child care for both of them so I had to make my ultimate decision of working from home! I have been working from home for awhile now and I love it!! I am so so so happy I made this decision. Money is tight but we are making things work. I started a website and this blog to help other moms and families who are like ours and need a parent home with their children. I hope that what you find here and on my website will help you make the ultimate decision to stay home!
